Hong Lim Park is a 0.97 hectare heritage park bound by North Canal Road, South Bridge Road, Upper Pickering Street and New Bridge Road. Cheang Hong Lim donated the land in the 1870s. It held early political rallies and Chinese opera. Since 1 September 2000 it is Singapore's only Speakers' Corner. Pink Dot and other registered gatherings still use the lawn. Open 24 hours. Wheelchair accessible. Nearest MRT is Clarke Quay, not Chinatown.
