Job Description

AIGF Advisors Pte. Ltd. (AIGF) is a Singapore-based private equity (PE) firm sponsored by Mitsubishi Corporation. The company primarily focuses on providing growth capital and supporting value creation for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the ASEAN region. Specifically, AIGF customizes investments to meet the capital needs of each company and offers support in areas such as business development, corporate governance, and strategic planning. Leveraging Mitsubishi Corporation’s extensive business network and expertise, AIGF contributes to the growth and value enhancement of its portfolio companies.

We are seeking an associate to lead collaboration with clients and investors from ASEAN and Japan to drive value creation in both existing and prospective portfolio companies within the AIGF Fund, ensuring alignment with global headquarters’ strategic objectives and compliance with corporate governance standards. This role plays a key part in investment execution and post-investment value creation at AIGF Advisors, working closely with senior investment professionals, portfolio companies, and Mitsubishi Corporation as the sponsor.

With the significant increase in Japanese companies expanding into Southeast Asia, our core mission is to deliver high-quality intangible services that meet our publicly listed clients' expectations within tight deadlines. This position is essential and continually required to provide globally satisfying corporate advisory services, enabling our listed clients to make informed decisions on corporate ventures and investments in the region. In this highly responsible role, the successful candidate will not only fulfill daily tasks in valuation and investment analysis but also excel in high-stakes, urgent matters. These include negotiations between buy-side, sell-side, and other stakeholders; developing a post-merger integration plan to enhance due diligence findings; and securing necessary stakeholder approvals. This demanding role requires direct reporting to both our management and our clients, underscoring the need for exceptional performance and dedication.

  1. Valuation and Investment Analysis
Oversee valuation analyses using advanced methodologies and financial models to evaluate investment opportunities, preparing investment committee memorandums for executive review to prepare and deliver complex financial presentations that meet senior management/board of directors and stakeholder standards.
  2. M&A
Working on sell-side, buy-side and other structural deals in all stages of execution. You will be actively involved in execution of cross-border structural deals with a Southeast Asian angle, being either for Southeast Asian clients or for Japanese clients with business base in Southeast Asia in deal value of USD 20 million.
  3. Presentation Development and Enhancement
Develop and present materials for meetings with potential target companies and stakeholders including our company's management & limited partners, internal strategy sessions, investor reporting, and fundraising, ensuring alignment with corporate policies and meeting stakeholder expectations.
  4. Fund Raising
Support fund-related communications with LP investors (mainly domiciled in Japan) by preparing analyses, materials, and responses in coordination with senior investment professionals.
  5. Opportunity Identification and Assessment
Collaborate closely with the investment team to identify and assess new investment opportunities in ASEAN and Japan, overseeing research and analysis of target companies.
  6. Portfolio Management Oversight
Support portfolio management and value creation initiatives with special focus on the collaboration with Mitsubishi Corporation, including financial analysis, performance monitoring, and execution of strategic initiatives at portfolio companies.
  7. Corporate Governance
Act as a liaison to Mitsubishi Corporation, supporting managerial tasks related to corporate governance requirements and ensuring alignment with corporate policies.
  8. General Duties
Perform any other duties as required, contributing to the team’s overall objectives and performance.
