Position: Business Development Assistant Manager (Catering
Services)
Roles & Responsibilities
1. Business Growth & Client Acquisition
- Identify
and develop new business opportunities in corporate, industrial,
institutional, and event catering.
- Source
and secure long-term catering contracts (offices, factories, schools,
dormitories, hospitals, events).
- Build
and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, consultants, and
key decision-makers.
2. Sales Strategy & Market Development
- Develop
and implement sales and business development strategies to achieve
revenue and growth targets.
- Conduct
market research to identify trends, competitors, and pricing
strategies in the catering and F&B sector.
- Propose
new catering concepts, menus, and service models based on client and
market demand.
3. Contract & Proposal Management
- Prepare
and present business proposals, quotations, tenders, and contracts.
- Negotiate
pricing, terms, and service agreements with clients.
- Ensure
contracts comply with company policies, food safety standards, and
regulatory requirements.
4. Client Relationship Management
- Act
as the main point of contact for key accounts.
- Ensure
high levels of customer satisfaction and contract renewal.
- Handle
client feedback, service improvements, and issue resolution in
coordination with operations teams.
5. Coordination with Operations & Finance
- Work
closely with operations, kitchen, logistics, and finance teams to
ensure service delivery meets contractual requirements.
- Align
sales commitments with production capacity, manpower, and cost controls.
- Monitor
contract profitability and margins.
6. Budgeting & Revenue Tracking
- Prepare
sales forecasts, budgets, and performance reports.
- Track
revenue performance and key sales KPIs.
- Provide
regular updates to senior management on business performance.
7. Compliance & Quality Standards
- Ensure
business development activities comply with Singapore food safety,
licensing, and MOM regulations.
- Promote
company standards for hygiene, quality, and service excellence.
8. Team & Management Support
- Mentor
junior sales or business development staff (if applicable).
- Support
management in strategic planning and business expansion initiatives.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Degree
in Business Administration, Marketing, Hospitality Management, or
related field
- Proven
experience in catering, F&B, hospitality, or service industries
- Strong
negotiation, presentation, and communication skills
- Knowledge
of catering operations and cost structures
