Firmware Engineer Intern (PCB Design & ESP32 Development)

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Firmware Engineering Associate to join our team on a project basis. This role offers hands-on experience with IoT devices, smart home applications, and embedded systems development. The right candidate will have the opportunity to transition into full-time or longer-term part-time employment based on performance and project needs.

Candidate will be working on market leading patented advance concepts for built construction / lighting / emergency alerts domains to impact lives positively.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop PCB layouts for embedded systems and IoT devices
• Develop and optimize firmware for ESP32 and Arduino platforms
• Implement communication protocols including Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and BLE Mesh
• Integrate and configure various sensors for smart home applications
• Code, test, and debug embedded systems applications
• Set up and troubleshoot hardware-software integration

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Strong foundation in firmware development and embedded systems programming
• Proficiency in PCB design tools and electronics prototyping
• Experience with ESP32 and Arduino platforms
• Knowledge of wireless communication protocols (Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, BLE Mesh)
• Familiarity with sensor integration and IoT applications
• Understanding of smart home ecosystems and applications
• Background in electronic engineering, computer engineering, or related field
• Self-driven with excellent problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Work Arrangement

• Schedule: 5.5 days per week, in-office
• Location: Singapore
• Compensation: SGD 1,200 - 1,250 per month
• Contract Type: Project-based with potential for conversion to full-time or longer-term part-time employment
