Responsibilities
- Lead and execute GEO strategies for assigned clients, with defined KPIs tied to AI-generated visibility (mentions, citations, inclusion in AI answers) and downstream outcomes such as qualified traffic and leads.
- Review and strengthen entity signals and knowledge consistency across owned sites and external sources, including About pages, author profiles, structured data, directories, PR coverage, and partner websites.
- Develop and maintain topic clusters aligned to AI answer intent, covering areas such as comparisons, best-of lists, how-to content, definitions, pricing, troubleshooting, policy, and decision-stage queries.
- Refine content to improve AI extraction and citation, focusing on clear structure, concise passages, supporting evidence, first-hand experience indicators, proper sourcing, and internal linking.
- Implement and maintain structured data and technical foundations to minimise ambiguity for AI systems, including relevant schema, canonicalisation, indexation, and site hygiene.
- Plan and execute digital PR and brand mention initiatives that generate credible citations and brand co-occurrence across relevant publications and communities.
- Collaborate with writers, subject matter experts, designers, and developers to produce citation-ready assets such as research pages, statistics, calculators, glossaries, original studies, and authoritative guides.
- Track AI-driven discovery surfaces and prompt patterns to understand inclusion gaps and competitor presence, translating insights into optimisation actions.
- Prepare clear, concise reports explaining actions taken, observed changes, AI visibility trends, and recommended next steps.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of how AI-driven search and answer systems surface, cite, and recommend brands across platforms such as AI overviews and conversational assistants.
- Hands-on experience with organic search, content strategy, and entity-based optimisation beyond traditional keyword-focused SEO.
- Ability to analyse and improve on-site, off-site, and technical signals that influence AI interpretation and trust.
- Familiarity with structured data, schema markup, and technical SEO best practices.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams to produce authoritative, reference-worthy content assets.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to translate AI visibility data and observations into practical recommendations.
- Clear communication skills to present performance insights and priorities in a way that non-technical stakeholders can understand.
