Massage Therapist

Key Responsibilities

• Client Consultation & Assessment: Discuss symptoms, medical history, and goals to create personalized treatment plans.
• Massage Techniques: Apply pressure to soft tissues (muscles, tendons, ligaments) using hands, fingers, or forearms to improve circulation and relieve tension.
• Specialized Care: Perform various modalities, including deep tissue, prenatal, sports, and hot stone massage.
• Health Education: Instruct clients on stretching, strengthening, and posture improvement techniques.
• Record Keeping & Hygiene: Maintain accurate, confidential client records and sanitize equipment/rooms.
• Collaboration: Work with chiropractors, physiotherapists, or physicians for patient rehabilitation. 

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Certification/Licensure: Completion of a state-approved, accredited massage therapy program and proper licensing/registration.
• Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods and perform strenuous, repetitive manual work.
• Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication and listening skills to understand client needs and build rapport.
• Knowledge of Anatomy: Strong understanding of human body mechanics, muscles, and tissues.
