Shipping Executive (Location: Chinatown)

Job Summary

The Shipping Executive is responsible for managing end-to-end sea and air freight operations, including both import and export shipments (FCL and LCL). This role ensures timely cargo movement ,accurate documentation, and compliance with regulatory requirements, while maintaining efficient coordination with internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

·        Manage local freight operations for both import and export shipments (FCL & LCL), ensuring timely clearance and smooth execution of shipping processes

·        Oversee air freight (B2B)shipments, coordinating with airlines, agents and end customers to ensure prompt deliveries

·        Coordinate bookings with carriers, plan shipment schedules, and monitor cargo movement to ensure on-time delivery

·        Prepare and review shipping documentation, including Bills of Lading (B/L), invoices, packing lists, and cargo manifests to ensure compliance

·        Update shipping systems and software accurately and promptly to ensure data integrity and smooth operations

·        Work closely with internal departments and external stakeholders to resolve operational issues and improve workflow processes

·        Ensure compliance with customs regulations, trade laws, and company policies

·        Maintain proper documentation records and support audit requirements

Additional Information
5 days work week (9am to 5pm) + 1-2 Saturdays per month

Preferred competencies and qualifications

·        Prior experience in trade documentation, shipping, or freight forwarding

·        Ability to communicate effectively with external partners to facilitate trade processes

·        Strong attention to detail and capability to meet tight deadlines
