Teacher (Locum)

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Teach assigned group classes on weekends, including covering for other teachers when required
• Co-create and develop customised lesson content based on students’ diverse learning needs
• Deliver tailored lessons in accordance with the MOE syllabus and curriculum
• Encourage students and foster a safe and positive learning environment
• Track and monitor students’ attendance, progress and development
• Maintain regular communication with parents on lessons, student conduct and progress
• Perform any specific projects and duties assigned from time to time

REQUIREMENTS:

• Good Degree in any discipline; candidates with Postgraduate Diploma in Education or relevant qualifications will have an added advantage
• Preferably at least two years of teaching experience in MOE schools or private tuition centres; experience working with children with Special Educational Needs preferred
• A passion to teach children, including those with Special Educational Needs
• Ability to interact with students, parents and stakeholders from diverse backgrounds
• Strong commitment and motivation to work independently and collaboratively in multidisciplinary settings
• Excellent communication skills with good command of verbal and written English
• Possess good problem-solving, organisation and time-management skills

Rate is $40-$50 per hour
