I think this is still the best place for tempura in Singapore! The batter is thin and does not stick to the shrimp, hence preserving the plump texture of the shrimp. I was also surprised by the chicken breast, it wasn't dry and still juicy. One negative comment is that the mala sauce didn't blend well. I will be less adventurous when I come back next time hahaha
Excellent food! I had the half-half set - half portion of tendon with tempura and half portion of udon, both were delicious. The tempura items were crispy and light, a delight to eat. The chilli flakes provided give a nice kick. Highly recommended!
Been eyeing at their special ongiri & oden since. Now then got to grab it & eat it at their opening dine-in area. Realised that the stalls had been closing. It has changed to customer who bought food at dddk supermart & eat it at there.
There is an oven for anyone who want to warm their food. No halal to be seperated. And several plugs wall for anyone who want to check or use their laptop. Or even charging their gadget.
Free wifi too ❤
Good to shop grocery which taste comes in similar with Korea- meat, vegetables, sweet potatoes.
You can also grab a simple meals at an affordable price. Late night, the made-meals usually are on discount.
When we visited, gave the coins to kids to play a ‘Doll claw machine’ which my kids have fun with.
There is a voucher for the purchase over $80(?) that can use for the next visit.
Great place to get precooked Japanese food like Takoyaki, Bento sets, Yakiniku, and more.
The Live Teppanyaki place is pretty good too. You can choose the raw protein you want and they will cook it for you for $3 per 100g. You can also pay $6 instead for the items to be cooked as well as get a set with rice, pickles, chawanmushi, and miso soup.
The Grilled Salmon was great, Wagyu Skewers were good too. S was the Gyutan (beef tongue). Only the Yakiniku Beef was lacklustre - too dry.
Cool place filled with more than just your average groceries. Mostly Japanese products sold here so not much were recognisable or familiar to Singapore. The food section was nice, an adequate range of cooked meals packed neatly in a container for consumption. The cooked foods looked tasty, there were salmon, hotate, takoyaki, beef, and chicken dishes all paired with rice. In addition, there were fried side dishes and chawamushi. Another area I particularly liked was the sashimi section, with affordable slices of sashimi and sushi. I tried the mentaiko salmon sushi and it was pretty good although was not a lot of mentaiko sauce and is a little dry. The pack did not include soya sauce so I had to purchase one separately, wasabi was included.
This is a smaller outlet, but it's stocked with probably almost everything you'll need. From ready-to-eat food, raw meat, fish, and vegetables to snacks, cosmetics, toys, and Japanese alcohol! This outlet also has a bar and japanese food court. I always stop by to pick up some items whenever I'm in the mall. Always authentic Japanese products and low prices. Love it!
Bought many ready made food and the lady at the self check out counter helped me to tape safe all the food 🥰
I had over 10 packs. Appreciate it! Thank you aunty!
This spot is perfect for a quick sashimi and Japanese snacks fix! The sashimi is fresh, and the snacks are scrumptious, offering a satisfying bite every time. They also have a bar with value-for-money highballs, making it an ideal place to unwind. For meat lovers, the yakiniku grill bar is a highlight, serving premium wagyu that’s cooked to perfection. A great all-in-one destination for delicious Japanese cuisine and drinks!
