Some of the traditional dishes have ā€œdisappearedā€ and the main reason is stall owners have retired and the new generations are not keen to learn and continue the traditional yummy dishes. SAD SAD SAD šŸ˜žšŸ˜”šŸ˜©.

It’s exactly what a hawker center should be. Dozens of stalls, plenty of options, buzzing with energy. The food is cheap, tasty, and there’s something for everyone. Nothing fancy, just great flavors in a lively setting.

If you’re in Chinatown, the hawker center is a must-visit. It’s super diverse, with a huge variety of Asian food all in one place. The xiao long bao from a Michelin stall was easily the best thing we had—so juicy and flavorful. The Pad Thai was also really delicious. The place can get a bit loud with all the people, but it adds to the lively vibe. Just a heads-up—after you eat, you need to carry your tray to a collection area for the staff to clean. And don’t skip the sugarcane juice—it’s the perfect, refreshing drink after all that food.

Bought noodles at #02-089. Owners hand-make their noodles, and are able to customise some ingredients according to customers’ needs, eg choice of chinese lettuce or spinach, or allowing an additional 50 cents worth of veg to be added ( so that i can use my $5 CDC voucher). Food’s cooked in Malaysian/Ipoh style. Friendly and approachable owners. Can use CDC voucher. Worth a try

This place is a food hub in Singapore’s Chinatown. Today, I ordered Hainanese chicken rice — it tasted even better than I expected and wasn’t expensive. I also tried the xiao long bao from a Michelin-recognized stall, which was delicious and also reasonably priced. The overall atmosphere was a bit hot, but not too bad. If you’re visiting Chinatown, this is definitely a spot worth stopping by — there’s a huge variety of food to enjoy.

Love the crowded atmosphere and the local! This is absolutely where the local eat! Tried this Salted Egg Chicken rice. It was really good wish I lived near by I'd have gone back 5 days in a row.

One of the best places to try out local hawker cuisine. Reasonable prices and a wide choice of offerings. The beef Joo Chiat Beef Noodle stall has some of the best beef noodles to be found anywhere in Singapore.

Famous Michelin grade Hong Kong braised beef brisket noodle is wonderful. Sold out very early (sold out at 9am this morning). I tried the BBQ pork noodle, also very nicešŸ‘šŸ˜‹

Just had the most satisfying meal at this cozy stall after a long night shift! The Malaysia-style food was absolutely delicious, and the staff were super friendly. They even asked me to customize my order with my preferred veggies - such a thoughtful touch! The stall was also spotlessly clean, which added to the overall great experience. If you're craving a taste of Malaysia, look no further. Highly recommend!"

Incredible food and a great open air atmosphere for lunch after exploring Chinatown. So enjoyed dumplings and spicy peanut noodles!
