I had an amazing experience at MICHAELA with Aya as my stylist! I went in for a haircut and the Anti aging Straight Perm, the results were beyond my expectations.
Before the treatment, my hair was frizzy, unruly, and difficult to manageâespecially in Singaporeâs humid weather. But after Aya worked her magic, my hair became smooth, silky, and naturally straightâexactly what I had hoped for!
The salon itself is bright, clean, and has a welcoming atmosphere. The entire team was attentive and professional, making sure I was comfortable throughout the process. Ayaâs attention to detail and expertise truly made a difference, and I could tell she genuinely cared about achieving the best result for my hair.
Not only did I love my new hairstyle, but I also received so many compliments on the same dayâwhich just proves how beautifully done it was! Iâll be coming back for sure.

The salon is conveniently located right opposite Clarke Quay MRT, making it easily accessible. From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by the attention to detailâlike the welcome drink with a personalized note featuring my name. The salon is bright, clean, and has a serene atmosphere that makes you feel like you've been transported to Japan. The staff and customers are mostly Japanese, and though the environment is Japanese-speaking, it didnât hinder our conversation. A big thank you to my stylist, Mr. Kenta, who understood my desire for low-maintenance hair without compromising the length. Highly recommend this place for a truly unique and personalized experience!

From the attentive staff to the thoughtful gestures including a choice of types of tea or coffee and a little snack presented in a lovely tray as well as a lap pillow, it was the start of a wonderful experience at Hair Salon Tokyo Michaela.
The soda spa was very relaxing and slowly lulled me into a power nap.
The highlight of my visit was the haircut. Kenta, the hair designer I picked was very attentive, consultative and professional. Loved the new look and I already look forward to my next visit.

I must first commend the wonderful, professional service from the moment I asked them a question over WhatsApp all the way until I stepped out of the salon. A true sense of omotenashi with small personal touches that made me feel very secure and welcome as a first-time customer. I booked the Kaihuku head spa & haircut with Aya who was really patient with me about my questions and insecurities about my hair. I personally am very satisfied with the haircut I got because she was able to give me volume and structure, while somehow managing to make sure my natural waves (which I always struggle with) don't go out of shape, especially since I don't particularly style my hair. I believe this shows her great technique and I really appreciate the confidence it has given me! Also, Kaihuku spa was incredible, super relaxing and Aya is very considerate in her movements, checking the massage pressure and being careful not to splash my face. My only feedback is that since the head spa area is technically just a curtained-off area, it can be a little distracting when other clients come in to the adjacent chairs to have their hair washed. Nevertheless, I still managed to unwind and enjoy the benefits of the Kaihuku spa. I look forward to going again <3

Really enjoyed my experience here âșïž I asked for a low maintenance colour, treatment and a trim (because I wanted to retain my hair length as much as possible). My stylist Carol was so lovely and listened patiently to everything that I wanted! She did such a good job and I walked out of the salon feeling so confident! My first visit to Michaela. Booked for a cut and highlight by Kenta-san based on his works on their IG. I always temper my expectations for the first visit, but this cut and colour by Kenta was really good! I like it that he cuts my hair before washing so that he can see how my hair naturally falls without styling and works with it.
Kenta was very patient to listen to all my requirements⊠I wasnât the only demanding customer there todayâŠ. I overheard another lady with equally particular requests, haha⊠but I must say the stylists took it all in their stride.
I had very specific requests Kenta managed to fulfill. His additional suggestions and adjustments were also spot on and improved the overall look significantly.
The studio itself was clean and brightly lit with natural light cos it has a full length window facing the roadâŠ. I think this is important so you can really see how the colour is in your hair! The place also has a nice scent which was not overpowering.
The seats are spaced out nicely so that you donât feel like youâre too close to anyone else. Only one small thing was that the seats at the hair wash area felt a bit rickety; it rocked when the stylist was massaging my head. But really, itâs really nitpicking here.
Like all Japanese hair salons, service is impeccable. The fruit tea they offer on the menu is delish! They are all more than competent in English and communication is not a problem.
I have always gone to Japanese stylists for the past 10years or so but had to find a new stylist since my regular one went back to Japan permanently. Super impressed with how the cut and colour with Kenta turned out. Looks like Iâve found my new regular stylist!!
I recently visited MICHAELA for the first time, following my wifeâs recommendation of their Kaihuku spa. She suggested that I book an appointment with Aya. I booked for a haircut and Kaihuku spa.
The place is clean, cozy and surely a relaxing environment. We were welcomed with complimentary drinks of our choice with a nice handwritten note too.
As for my haircut, Aya took the time to understand exactly what I wanted for my haircut to ensure we were on the same page. The haircut itself was done perfectly and just the way I wanted it. Very happy with the outcome.
However, the highlight of my visit was undoubtedly the Kaihuku spa experience. As someone who frequently suffers from headaches, I found the spa treatments incredibly soothing. Aya made sure I was comfortable during the entire process, which helped me relax completely - a much-needed reprieve from my everyday stress.
Overall, both my wife and I had an exceptional experience at MICHAELA. We will definitely be returning for more treatments in the future!

My daughter had her first hair colour highlights at MICHAELA under the recommendation of my cousin. Mr Endo-san is a professional hair stylist and he listened to our concerns and needs and recommended a nice haircut and colour highlight which suited my daughter very well!! đđ The receptionist attending to us was polite and attentive and the clean and pleasant salon environment contributed to a very positive experience for us!
