Decided to try the hair cut here after reading good reviews, but sadly turns out to be the worst experience. I would have given 0 stars if there was an option. I visited on a quiet weekday afternoon and there was only one customer having her haircut at the time. The other female hairdresser was free and was looking at her handphone so naturally she came to me when I stepped inside. Knowing my hair texture well, I hilighted to her on a few very specific points and asked for a trim of my long hair. She did not ask any questions and proceeded to work. As she looked quite experienced, I left my hair in her hands. She worked super fast and finished quickly, not once bothering to check with me on the cut (she was done even before the other customer was done and there was no customer waiting). I looked in the mirror and my heart sank. My hair and fringe were cut way shorter than I asked for with way too many layers, I knew it will take at least a month for my hair to hopefully grow out and in the mean time I will need to keep it tied up. Btw, I found out this hairdressers name is Lily, obviously she does not care about her customers’ needs and just cut as she likes. So much for being so called “professional”. Hopefully my review will help other future customers.
P.S Forgot to mention earlier, once she finished with my hair, all the used scissors and tools were left in the tray uncleaned while she immediately when to sit by the door looking at her handphone again. Thinking back now I seriously wonder if the tools were properly cleaned/sanitized before she cut my hair…. Really super duper regret visiting this shop!

i would put zero star if i could. got a bad hair cut from a lady today. requested to cut my hair short with a bit of layering but she ended up just cutting the hair short without any further trimming/ layering. both sides of my hair are at different length, and there are many strands of hair are not cut properly (ie longer than the rest). i might as well cut my hair myself instead of spending 15 bucks on this.

First and last time of getting a haircut here
The moment the female barber started shaving my hair, I can already feel that she is very inexperienced in cutting.
She can even do a proper fade with everything shaved unevenly.
Lots of holes here and there.
And she completely shaved off the back of my hair until it’s bald with no hopes of salvaging to make it look better.
The proportions of my hair looks very weird and very uneven.
Getting a haircut is supposed to make us feel good and confident.
But with this lady’s skill I am forced to wear a hat because of this poor & ugly haircut.
She still said that, the back side still has hair & it looks very good.
Aunty I think there is something wrong with your taste is fashion.

I have heard a lot about this barbershop and though I give it a go since the were like three people inside. The moment I stepped in, I took a seat. Bad mistake. The only male barber stared at me (scowled) and gestured with his comb and pointed for me to pay thru the machine first.
Ok that’s kinda rude.
So I went there. Luckily I had a 5 and 10. (Apparently that’s what the machines accepts.
I tried putting the ten in many times but it kept rejecting the note. I turned and saw the male barber gave me a very unhappy face. I was about to like walk out till a brown haired auntie told me ‘let me change it for you’.
At that point I was like ok whatever. But I was still nice. And very polite.
So after that she told me to take a seat and I told her how to cut it. I said cut the sides short and just trim a bit of the top cos I wanted to keep my hair longer.
The result was a very short hair cut.
At this point I just wanted to leave, write a review and never come back.
So for those who wants to come here,
Stick to kcuts.
And to the Chinese barber, mind your manners and learn to be polite.

For $15 the hairdressers at Kojimaya cut women's hair the best (as compared to other express haircut brands). They are efficient and meticulous. Best value for money.

I had a great experience with Rali! Even though it was just an express haircut, he really took his time and paid attention to the details. I can tell he puts his heart into his work, thank you!

Been going to Kojimaya for the past three years and it is such good value.
I always make sure to ask for Lily, who is usually very much in demand but she is well worth the wait. She always takes care in cutting my hair and takes the time to check that every part of my hair is well balanced.
Thank you Lily!

My usual go to place when I need my hair cut. All the staffs there are super friendly. Even though peak hour, fellow stylists will still give you the full attention you need and make sure your hair is properly done.
Usually crowded on weekend and weekday after working hour. Try to plan your trip slightly earlier to avoid long queue.
