Li Ji Chuan Chuan Xiang (李记串串香) at 295 South Bridge Road in Chinatown represents the authentic Chinese skewer hotpot experience, originating from Chongqing, China, where the brand operates approximately 500 outlets. This unique restaurant specializes in hotpot-style chuan chuan, where an extensive selection of over 50 types of skewers including Spicy Beef, Special Recipe Chicken, Chongqing Bacon, Pork with Coriander, and Black Fungus are cooked in flavorful soup bases rather than barbecued. With incredibly affordable pricing at just S$0.50 per skewer stick, diners can enjoy authentic Chinese flavors in various soup bases including Chicken, Tomato, Mala, Green Pepper Chilli Mala, Pickled Vegetable, and Mushroom. Operating daily from 11am to 1am, this late-night supper destination also offers traditional hotpot plates featuring premium items like Signature Beef Slices and whole lobsters, making it perfect for satisfying midnight mala cravings while providing hearty, quality food at exceptionally pocket-friendly prices in the heart of Singapore's cultural district.
The soup base is not much fragrance.
The spices not well blended in the base.
No taste at all. Most of the tastes from the marination of the skewers itself.
Many selections of the skewers such as meats and processed food.
But food quality is not there.
Some in house promotion going on for the anniversary.
But not worth the price.

Ordered like 50 sticks of chuan chuan for $19. For 38cents, it’s okay. But if you order below, it will be $0.50 each which is not worth it.
La zi ji which was highly recommended by the staff, is salty. If this was the best dish then I think the standard so so.
Order mild spicy mala and the collagen bone soup. Mala is okay, can add more spicy if you want. Both salty.
Man tou is crispy, pork slice meh. Not nice.
Drinks are one for one.
Nothing that will make me come back again

⭐☆☆☆☆ Not Worth the Money
Unfortunately, this restaurant was a big letdown. The ingredients didn’t taste fresh at all, and even the fried items—which are usually hard to mess up—were soggy and lacked any crispiness. Overall, it left a very bad first impression, and I won’t be coming back. Definitely not worth the price.

Ordered d National Day set meal @$60++. Quite worth but drinks r not included. Punched iced lemon tea n berry drinks r very good $5.80++ 2nd cup $2.90+ (strangely service charge is charged but GST isn't).
辣子鸡 got standard. It's no-greasy n v v crispy. d oil seeps through after u bite. Flavourful! Skewer is priced @$0.50++/stick. Quite ex as some items r small pcs. Selection is not as wide.
Went off-peak so customer service by waiter is v good. he's patient as he offers recommendations n guides us thro d ordering process.
This restaurant also offers lunch set at ~$10++/set. Quite a selection. Saw many tourists come by to try s local/Chinese fare. Air-conditioning is v strong. Good n comfy to dine-in during lunch.

Came here thinking they serve chuan chuan, but turns out they don’t usually offer it. We were about to leave, but the boss overheard us and kindly offered to cook some for us — really appreciated that gesture!
The chuan chuan was decent, but I personally found their soup base and other items (50 sticks for $19) better. The boss was very attentive and checked in with us a few times to make sure everything was okay, which made the experience feel warm and welcoming.
Prices are reasonable, and to top it off, the boss gave us a discount on the soup and food. It’s this kind of service that makes me recommend the place.
That said, if you’re specifically looking for authentic chuan chuan with premium meat cuts, you might want to try elsewhere — but for great hospitality and a comforting meal, this spot is worth a visit.

While the selection of chuan chuan may not be as extensive as some other places, the overall vibe makes up for it. The friendly boss and staff will make you feel right at home. Great spot to hangout with friends. I would recommend trying their la zi ji or fried rice. Both were surprisingly good.

I would rate their service ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. Their service is truely exceptional. For the food, we particularly like the stir fried chicken with dried chilli (see the photo). The chicken is very crispy and nice.

We went for the set lunch during weekday. The price was reasonable in this area and it includes main dish, rice, drink, and 1 small dish. The la zi ji is also nice and has a good portion of chicken.
