👍 Hawker Chan is delicious—the roast duck rice and duck noodles were tasty, though the noodles were a bit oily. The price is reasonable, and when I came before noon there was no queue. The place is easy to find, not far from Chinatown station. I’ll definitely come again next time.

The place is located right by the roadside, so it’s very easy to find. The dining area is spacious, clean, and has a cozy atmosphere, a nice spot to sit down and enjoy a meal. The service was fast and efficient, and the prices are quite affordable, which was a pleasant surprise considering it's a Michelin starred place. This was actually my first time trying Michelin starred food, so I came in with pretty high expectations. Unfortunately, the overall experience didn’t really live up to the hype. The food was just okay, nothing particularly special in terms of flavor or presentation. What disappointed me the most was that it was served completely cold, not even slightly warm. That definitely affected the overall impression of the meal. While the environment and service were good, I personally expected more from a restaurant with Michelin recognition, especially in terms of the food quality and serving temperature. It might still be worth trying for the experience, but I wouldn't go out of my way to return.

Visited this place from overseas after seeing the first hawker stall to be awarded Michelin star after nearly 4/5 year. Saw the chef and owner as well. Food flavour was good but the temperature on the food was not warm as expected. The only concern I had was the service delivery from the staffs. When I asked for an additional plate he just didn’t hand me properly he just tossed on the table . I believe improvement in delivery and quality control in food will lead to more brand image.

Finally my dream of dining in a Michelin Star restaurant came true at Hawker Chan in Singapore. Wonderful food, quiet ambience and quick service made the overall experience worth the amount spent. The prices are very comparable to the food prices at other hawker centers but the quality and experience is better. They also served vegetable dishes. A must visit place for everyone who visits Singapore.

This former Michelin 1 star hawker now turned franchise restaurant was probably as expected, good but not great. The food was certainly tasty, and the tourist meal which zhas multiple meats was good. The highlight is certainly the soy sauce. However as others have pointed out, the chicken was not warm/hot which is a real disappointment. You sit and read on the wall how he prides himself on the quality etc, yet you see it slipping. The service was also mediocre. The lady servicing us seemed to just be in a rush rather than helpful. Overall fine as a one off experience but won't be back unfortunately.

Finally got to try Hawker Chan, famously known as the world's first hawker stall awarded ONE MICHELIN STAR. I visited their newer shop with air conditioning, which was a relief compared to the original location inside the food market in Chinatown (no AC but cheaper prices). Since I came in the late afternoon, I was pretty sure the chicken at the original stall would already be sold out, so sticking to the air-conditioned shop was a safer bet. The soy sauce chicken was absolutely amazing—tender, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. I have to admit, it’s even better than most soy sauce chicken I’ve had in Hong Kong, which is impressive considering this dish originally hails from HK. Highly recommend checking this place out, especially if you're a fan of soy sauce chicken. Just plan your visit based on what you prefer—comfort with AC or a more authentic hawker experience for a slightly lower price!

Decent 1 Michelin star street food. Worth the queue to try it once. Went early in the morning and saw a short queue so I decided to try it for the first time. Chicken is very tender but lacks flavour and needs the soya sauce to add some taste to it. Noodles are ok though and not much to comment. Overall it’s ok to try it once for the first time. If I need to queue for more than 10 minutes for the second time I will probably try something else.

Just heads up! This restaurant has lost his Michelin star and is more a chain than the traditional upper Singapore restaurant. Although is a place full of history and definitely a tourist attraction itself the food has nothing special when comparing to other places. I’m eating this place 5* because the experience from start to end was great so it was in similar restaurants of the area Following Chinatown affordability this place has a very affordable prices, go there if you can I would comeback there if I had a chance

It's like a culinary time capsule, this iconic stall in the heart of Chinatown food court. Despite the Michelin accolades and the passage of time, the flavors remain a steadfast reminder of days gone by. The enduring queues are a testament to the unwavering quality that draws both locals and tourists alike. It's a pilgrimage to the roots, a return to the essence of the original kitchen that sets this place apart from its offshoots in Bangkok and Melbourne.

Hawker Chan Restaurant was awarded a Michelin Star from 2016 to 2021. Once very famous for their Soya Sauce chicken, but over the years, stiff competition from others have took some shine off this street hawker turned restaurant owner's magical success story. We arrived at around 11.45am. and the restaurant was already quite packed with diners. We ordered half a chicken and 3 noodles and waited for around 15 minutes before our number was called. The soya sauce chicken was OK, but the Noodles was a little too stiff for my liking as I preferred the traditional softer eggs noodles.
