It took about 15 minutes for our order to come, but it was well worth the wait as they cook your order and steam dumplings upon request. Xiaolongbao both original and black truffle were light and well tasting, and the fried buns were even better. They do have radio coasters to let you know when your order is ready so you don't have to wait around the stall. Well worth a try!

We first discovered this shop on a trip last year and headed back to Chinatown Complex with them specifically in mind. Oh my, the fried prawn (shrimp) bun might be the tastiest thing ever, we came back 3 times in a week. Crispy bottom, delicious filling and great balance of filling to bun. You may need to wait a little as they fry the buns in large batches, we found it was usually 10-15 mins.
Their wanton noodle soup was also great, had that for breakfast and the wonton pastry and filling was superb. Highly recommend going early to not miss out. Just wonderful!

Chances upon this in search of grub at Chinatown, the 葱油拌面 was lightly flavoured although it clumped up a bit (probably coz I didn’t tuck in immediately), but the highlight’s definitely the 生煎包! Nice & crisp on one end, beautifully presented & nicely flavoured. Had the 辣椒螃蟹, filling wasn’t too shabby, had a nice chunk of crab in one of them!
Would be back with family!

We came here as the stall we wanted to eat at had an insane queue. I wanted the 炸酱面 but it was not available that day, so I got the lion mane noodle instead. We also got their various dumplings to share. The food is decent and you will need to wait for some of the things to be cooked upon ordering.

The famous pan-fried pork bun is delicious! The skin is not too thick, and the bottom was wonderfully crispy. We tried the original and chili crab flavors, as the prawn option was sold out. Both flavors were good, though I preferred the original. I also tried the prawn dumplings soup and loved the wonton.
I am thankful that the weekend lunch queue was manageable, and the service was relatively fast. The chef handmade the buns right at the stall. I recalled that during my last visit on a weekday evening, the queue was long, and the food had sold out.
This stall is worth checking out when the queue is manageable.

Had the prawn and chilli crab sheng jian bao. While the buns were good, the fillings fell short. Substantial amount of chilli crab but the taste was just flat. And there were pieces of crab cartilage... Prawn fillings were very little and could have better bite feel if it was not chopped too finely.

Cashier cum order taker looked at me and smile despite being drowned by lots of orders that were ready to get picked up by dining customers.
I was rushing for time but waited patiently for him to take my order. Eating in a hawker centre, we really don’t expect any customer service but he’s nice to smile and told me that the original fried buns is available and he packed it immediately.
I walked about 10mins back to office, the fried buns were still warm and crispy. Sooo yum! And the juice of the fillings actually squirt out so be careful if you’re wearing light colors 😂
I will go again and try their prawn dumplings!
Highly recommended

This stall at Chinatown Complex is helmed by a former dim sum maestro from Crystal Jade and Paradise Group, was a delightful gastronomic adventure.
It is perpetually packed with a long queue of enthusiasts from old to young. Approaching the stall, we could see the busy and yet friendly owner skilfully making the Xiao long Bao and 生煎包 (fried signature bun) on the spot.
While everything we tried were all excellent, the 生煎包(signature fried buns) was a standout for me. The small bun had a golden, crispy bottom which was testament to the perfect fry. The bun's exterior had a crunch that gave way to a soft, doughy embrace, all enclosing a luscious filling of seasoned pork. Upon biting it, the hot, flavourful broth inside bursted forth, blending with the savory meat, creating an indulgent, multi-layered experience.
The Xiao long Bao were delicate pouches bursting with rich, flavourful broth. The balance of savory meat filling and the thin, yet resilient skin was impeccable, a nod to the chef's illustrious background.
As for the wonton, the prawn & minced meat filling were fresh and the soup broth was exceptionally flavourful.
The braised meatball noodles was a chef recommendation which did not disappoint us.
Overall, this stall offers a taste of high-end dim sum right in the heart of Chinatown Complex. Anyone looking for restaurant quality Shanghai dim sum at a hawker price in Singapore, this is a must visit.

The pan fried pork buns 生煎包 is really good, better than the ones at the Jurong Point Crystal Jade restaurant. Service is average. The area is quite hot. It’s best to bring the buns to somewhere better ventilated to enjoy the buns.

I got the xiao long bao, zha jiang mean, and chili crab filled pan fried buns. All dishes were good and you can see the dumplings being freshly made at this hawker stall. The only issue I had is with the crab filled buns. They tasted amazing, but unfortunately all of them had bits of shell in the filling...
