Ordered the mala soup, not very flavourful and didn't taste great.
Noodles were springy and well cooked but the rest of the ingredients were a miss.
The chicken wings were cooked well but the seasoning didn't pull through
Century egg sauce wasn't great either, overpowers the egg and doesn't taste that good itself so...
There was also a fly that came to land in our soup when we were almost done :(

I ordered the meat lover mixian with hula soup and extra liver together with iced milk tea to meet $20 minimum spending for $10 discount voucher.
The portion is extremely big that i couldnt finish. I like that the liver are tender and fresh. However, make sure to eat them fast as they get overcooked easily in the soup. There is also pig stomach, pork belly, and pork slices. The pig stomach is kinda chewy but the pork slice and belly is soft and tender. I think that the soup is quite jelak and lacks dimensions and fragrance. I would like it to be more peppery too.
The best thing here is the milk tea! Really balanced..not too sweet nor bitter and the tea is fragrant.
I dont think I will come here again for another try😅

06.07.2025 Sunday 417pm super early dinner here. I always like their tomato soup. This is the place I enjoyed a lot with my late husband. The tomato soup still tastes delicious like before. Today my tomato soup mixian with pork, cuttlefish ball and pig stomach total with service charge 10% & GST 9% is $15.60

I was tempted to try them when the most jovial greeter started telling me about their lunch promotions. So I thought why not? And they seriously did not disappoint. Portions are huge. But most important, the soup and noodles were delicious. Sour and spicy - And after days of walking around sightseeing, this was the best comfort food that hit the spot. I didn’t see the nice lady when I left - so I hope she gets wind of my review. She kept checking in on me (and everyone at the restaurant)and the food - thank you, I truly appreciate that as it made my first visit a truly memorable one. Price for everything you see was SG10.50.

Tamjai Yunnan Mifen at Chinatown Point: A Hearty and Satisfying Meal
Tamjai Yunnan Mifen has always been a go-to spot for comforting bowls of rice noodles, and this time, I visited their outlet at Chinatown Point. Conveniently located right at the exit of Chinatown MRT station, this branch is hard to miss—perfect for a quick and easy meal.
On this visit, I decided to try the Guo Qiao Mi Xian (Crossing-the-Bridge Rice Noodles) with Tomato Broth. The broth, made from fresh tomatoes, had a natural sweetness and a rich depth of flavor that paired beautifully with the ingredients. The bowl came generously topped with a variety of ingredients—tender chicken, rich liver, bouncy meatballs, and earthy shiitake mushrooms—all cooked to perfection. Every bite was satisfying, with each ingredient complementing the broth’s comforting warmth.
As a side dish, I opted for pig ear—an old-school delicacy that is mostly appreciated by the older generation in Singapore. The texture was crunchy yet tender, with a mild chewiness that made it a great contrast to the silky noodles. Alongside, there was a unique side dish featuring a special sauce and a smooth, vibrant green ingredient. While I wasn’t entirely sure what it was, it seemed to be designed as an accompaniment to the noodles, and the combination worked wonderfully.
Overall, this meal was a fantastic experience. The portions were generous, the flavors were well-balanced, and for the price, it was definitely value for money. Whether you're a fan of rich, hearty broths or just looking for a comforting bowl of noodles, Tamjai Yunnan Mifen at Chinatown Point is worth a visit.

TamJai SamGor has become a real hit in Singapore — and it’s easy to see why. This Hong Kong-origin noodle chain has built a loyal following with its customisable Yunnan-style mixian noodles and addictive spicy broths.
One of the key draws is their spice level system, which ranges from mild to seriously fiery — so there’s something for everyone, whether you’re just looking for a little kick or you want to test your spice tolerance. The broth is rich and flavourful, and the ability to personalise everything from the spice level to the toppings makes it a fun and satisfying meal every time.
But it’s not just about the noodles — their appetizers are surprisingly excellent too. Items like the marinated century egg tofu, spicy chicken mid-joints, and pickled veggies really round out the meal and are perfect for sharing (or not!).
It’s no wonder there’s often a queue at peak hours — TamJai SamGor offers a crave-worthy, affordable, and customizable experience that keeps people coming back. Definitely worth a try if you’re into bold, comforting flavours and a bit of spice.

Visited Tamjai Samgor for the 1st time yesterday and was impressed with the food, speed of service and the recommendations provided by the store supervisor. We were conservative in our choice of spiciness and numbness of the noodles, but we were also well informed of how we could choose the next time round we come and visit, after hearing the explanations and sharing from the store supervisor on the palette of locals.
I love how the ingredients are very fresh and we can customise the various types of toppings. For my next visit, I will be sure to choose a more spicy and numb level of soup base, and also maximise the types of toppings.
I also loved how the mixian tasted. It was not the typical vermicelli that we have for laksa, and it is much more softer and overall the soup had a light base to it so it will not make you feel gelard.
The Tufei wings had a smoky and charred taste cos of the roasted black sesame seeds I suppose? But I liked it too! Though my son had mixed feelings. Nonetheless we will definitely visit Tamjai Samgor again as we will up the spiciness level for the next round!
