I tried Ya Kun Kaya Toast for the first time, and it was amazing! The toast was perfectly crispy, with a generous spread of sweet kaya and butter. I had it with soft-boiled eggs and a cup of rich, fragrant coffee ,such a perfect combination! It was my first time tasting kaya, and I loved its unique blend of coconut and pandan flavors. Simple, delicious, and definitely worth a try if you’re in Singapore!

Context: Breakfast on a holiday The Kaya Toast set truly reflects the rich culture and history; my children were delighted by it. The combination of the toast, egg, and soy sauce creates a well-balanced flavor profile that I enjoyed. If I had to offer feedback, I found the coffee a bit lacking in strength. It might not provide the kick for those planning a busy day. This place has become our favorite, and we look forward to returning whenever possible.

Very overrated place and overrated meal. So expensive for 4 sliced of toast with some spread and house coffee, 2 cold eggs. I wonder why people have to line up for more than 45 minutes for this simple meal that you can make at home. Such disappointed breakfast.

There is a lady staff in charge of the dessert stall who keeps complaining n talking loudly across; making the whole yakun cafe very noisy n uninviting. Every other staff is working hard and doing their job quietly.
