Introduced by friend who said it's one of the better HKM in SG. I ordered $5 portion, comes with 2 large prawns, portion wise can fill an adult stomach. The noodle can be easily picked up by chopsticks which is great. The chilli taste good, it seems they put effort to make it.
Took around less than 10minutes to arrive after we ordered. We came at 4pm timing so it's not peak period. Otherwise it will likely have long queues.
Taste wise it's great! Can compare with Xiao Di HKM, it's wet, but not that wet. IF they fry it wetter it would be really great!
Hidden gem inside hawker center. Bring your own tissue for cleaning your fingers for the lime squeezing .

So crowded n not sure if this affect the cooking.
Noodles were hard. Just hard.
No sotongs as usual so basically I paid $7 for noodles n 3 prawns.
The prawns were mushy n not fresh.
Bad plate of hkk mee
Guess fame got to them n trying to do more.

Slightly wet and chilli was good.
Nice plate to cover my Hkk Mee cravings.

Food: noodles taste rich and good. Chilli is too spicy for me. Prawns are relatively bigger. It would be better if there were more eggs fried together with the noodles.
Service: upon ordering, I asked twice how long to wait but was ignored. When I asked for the third time, they reluctantly replied 10-15 minutes. In the end I received the food after 30-35 minutes. I observed that they do 4-5 servings per wok fried. I suppose that is their way to ensure that the taste and quality is consistent. They should be able to provide a more accurate waiting time to their customers. I also observed that the portion for $5 and $7 is around the same, just using different colour plates.

This is one of my go-to stalls for fried Hokkien Mee.
The owner is friendly and cooks each order with pride.
The noodles start from $5 and has yellow noodles, bee hoon, egg, prawns and sliced boiled pork belly.
The noodles has wok hei and is flavorful thanks to the prawn broth that the noodles simmer in while cooking.
Must try! 👍🏻👍🏻😋
