Sales Director / Senior Sales Manager – Lashing Systems (APAC)

Reports to senior management (Europe-based)
Works closely with internal sales support
Overview
We are expanding our Lashing Systems division in Asia to support ship owners across the APAC region. This is a new and strategic business line in Asia, with no existing client base today, offering a rare opportunity to build a business from the ground up.
The role is suited for a senior, entrepreneurial sales professional with strong industry connections, a true hunter mindset, and the ambition to establish a long-term presence for a growing division.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and expand the lashing systems business for ship owners across the APAC region
- Develop the APAC market, including market entry strategy, client targeting and pipeline creation
- Act as a sole contributor, owning the full sales cycle end-to-end
- Establish and maintain senior-level relationships with ship owners and key decision-makers on the technical side
- Work closely with shipyards for technical and project coordination, while maintaining the ship owner as the primary client
- Promote and sell new lashing equipment solutions tailored to ship owner needs
- Represent the company at industry events and client meetings across the region
- Collaborate with internal sales and technical teams based in Europe (Netherlands)
- Provide market feedback and contribute to the long-term growth strategy of the division in Asia
Key Markets & Scope
- APAC region (focus on Taiwan, China and selected Asian maritime hubs)
- Client focus: Ship owners and ship management companies (senior-level client base)
Profile & Experience
- Senior commercial profile with extensive experience in marine equipment, deck equipment or similar
- Strong existing network within ship owners in APAC is essential
- Proven track record as a hunter in business development roles
- Comfortable working independently with minimal structure
- Entrepreneurial mindset with interest in building and scaling a new division
- Experience working across cultures and regions, particularly Asia and Europe
- Willing and able to travel frequently across the APAC region
Seniority & Title
- Title can be Sales Director or aligned with the candidate’s current seniority and background
- Senior-level role with autonomy and influence
