It is a good bowl of ramen but personally I think it is not like super good. The bamboo shoots tasted weird and the noodles felt a bit off. I honestly do not know how to describe it.
The pork cheek was really good tender and flavourful. The egg was very soft and absorbed the flavours of the soy marinade.
The chicken karaage was very crispy and juicy. I highly recommend that. Gyoza nice but nothing special.
Service was good staff were very friendly but they really need to control the volume. They keep shouting and their voices can be heard throughout half the level. Thank god it is located at a corner.
One of my favourite places for ramen! We tried the ramen combo set today, and everything was perfect! From the ramen to every single side. It felt like a lot of precision and heart was put into each dish! I also enjoyed every moment of my experience there because of the good service! Will definitely be back for more! I love that the set includes a dessert! My favourite side was the pork cheek!
First-timers coming to this restaurant need to know that you need to walk “through” Rendevous Restaurant to reach it.
This place serves a few broth types. My favourite ramen here is the shio broth with pork cheeks. I do not hone the other broths that outstanding except for the shio. The shio broth is not too salty and rich in flavour. The pork cheeks are fatty and well-marinated. There are also bamboo shoots and fungus that bring another texture and sharpness to the taste.
The service staff are friendly and easy-going and if they are not too busy are quite happy to chat with you too. The restaurant is small with limited seating.
First time trying this place. Wanting ramen and this place seems to have good reviews. Tried on weekend dinner, not much crowd. Place decently renovated. Good customer service. Shout out to this staff “Romket”, sorry if i see your name wrongly. She is very attentive and provided some good advice on food choices. The combo set is quite worth it. Price quite reasonable and portion is good. We shared this as Family of 4. The soup is quite flavourful and meat is tendered. Good choice if you are considering ramen.
I’m not a ramen lover, but I really enjoy the ramen here. Very authentic - broth is so pure and the ramen are just right! Their gyozas are a must-have for me. Brought my friends there and everyone liked their food. Small outfit, very Japanese, unpretentious and lovely. Service is always great there!
There were set lunch options, but I got an ala carte order of the Toroniku shoyu ramen, which is essentially tsukemen dipped in a strong broth! Noodles were thick & springy, & I like to soak the tender pork cheeks in the soup to warm it up, before slurping it down with the noodles.
The seating area may be abit sunny during lunch hour, especially if u’re facing Clarke Quay river, but should be enjoyable towards evening time.

Have been visiting this outlet many years. Last year December I visited their main shop at Asahikawa, and found out there was no difference in taste compared to our SG outlet, kudos to our chef here! Their fried chicken zangi is my favorite too, super crispy outside and tender inside! The chicken crust even shot to opposite seat when I ate... 😆
There is a lady staff in charge of the dessert stall who keeps complaining n talking loudly across; making the whole yakun cafe very noisy n uninviting. Every other staff is working hard and doing their job quietly.
Very overrated place and overrated meal. So expensive for 4 sliced of toast with some spread and house coffee, 2 cold eggs. I wonder why people have to line up for more than 45 minutes for this simple meal that you can make at home. Such disappointed breakfast.
