No wonder always pack with people.
I never had a BBQ beef and beef tendon is so soft before.
Salted egg fried pumpkin is nice too. Crispy from outside, soft in inside.
Hot and spicy soup, I suggest don put chilli padi, instead can replace by peppers powder.

Food was decent but the best are the vegetables.
The skewers are really not worth it. The chicken is average, the mutton was tough, the king mushroom was nice but small portion. The grilled prawns super not worth it because it get stuck to the metal and hard to eat.
The dried chilli chicken has more chilli than chicken but it okay.
The garlie eggplant was nice and so was the green vege.
The salted veg soup and the sour egg soup was okay but xiang xiang version is better.
Towards the end, because we took some time to cut the birthday cake, they told us to hurry up because there were customers waiting.

The place not fully aircon but the food is super good but on the pricer side, definitely must try and no regrets for this place!! Dinner time is very packed so be prepared to wait for the yummy food. The hotpot beside it smells good too, same owner as it states on the name.
Spicy dice chicken is a must order!!

Was half expecting this to be a tourist trap but prices were decent and the food was pretty good. The skewered meats were very yummy and the la zi ji was not bad. Xlb skin was quite thick so not really to my liking. Nevertheless, all in all a nice value for money chinese meal in the heart of chinatown!

A cozy sized restaurant with constant flow of customers through 6-8pm on Fri night. No reservation needed. Their lamb chop )or rather ribs) is tender and delicious and like the rest of dishes very reasonably priced. Even reordered a second plate. Lamb skewers were also decent sized. Meat is bouncy without being tough. The Garlic moss was very refreshing and has a crunch. The Stewed meat bone was a little tough albeit flavourful. The Eggplant in garlic sauce is served cold but richly flavoured in garlic. The Spicy Chicken wing was only slightly spicy whilst the tofu skin with enoki mushroom wrap has a good bite and taste. Will come back again especially for the lamb chop.

Tasty food with great portions! We tried some stir-fry and two grilled skewer type dishes. Came here in Sep 2024.
🍖 Grilled enoki pork belly - This was pretty good! The meat was juicy and the enoki added some chewiness. Very savoury seasoning.
🍞 Grilled mantou - I love bread so this was really nice! The bun was soft and chewy with a very crisp outer. Not your usual mantou taste because it was savoury (they use the same seasoning for all grilled skewer dishes).
🥬 Lettuce with oyster sauce - Very garlicky and crunchy! Portion is good.
🦐 Spicy fried prawn - Easily our favourite dish of the spread! The prawns were crispy and salty, not really spicy imo. No need to deshell which is convenient. I think this is quite a distinctive dish since I’ve never seen it elsewhere?? Also there were sooo many prawns, so v worth.
🍗 Sweet & sour chicken - We were a little stunned by the portion at first lol. Initial impressions were positive cuz the chicken was lightly crispy and chewy. The sweet and sour sauce was just right and not too overpowering. I liked the bell peppers and pineapple too! But after a while the chicken got quite jelat-ish?? Too much flour and not enough meat. Will not order this in future oop
Overall this is good and we hope to try more of their stir fry! Not as interested in their grilled skewers because they generally taste the same.

First time trying this northeast Chinese cuisine + bbq place. Very crowded. Food portion value for money. Very authentic flavour. Would highly recommend their bbq skewers for lamb and intestines. Will come again to try other food on their menu.

The claypot toufu was dissappointed as crabstick looked and tasted fake. The rest of the dishes were so-so to me.

Was first brought here many years ago because I had a craving for 烤羊肉串 (barbecued mutton) which I ate in Yunnan. This place is a life saver.
The menu is mind boggling with its variety and it has lots and lots of tasty offerings. I’ve been there at least 5 times and there’s still plenty to explore in their menu.
Their barbecue is a must try! Delicious and economical! This restaurant has expanded over the years, overtaking the restaurant on its right so it has more seatings now.
Staff are very responsive and quick with their service.
Only problem, I always over order when I go there because I would want to eat so many things when I’m there.... their stir fried green chillies, their stir fried potato strips, their eggplant, their beef cold dish... so many many... but when I don’t finish I tapau with no extra fees and feel happy I can eat it again at home.

Good Aircon. Toilet for male is acceptable on L2. Take the stairs. There is a signage for toilet. Food came fast and nice. Recommend the egg plant and skewers.
