Excellent sake selections. Garlic fried rice is excellent, love their scallops. Yakitoris are very good for alcohol pairing too. Their staff are very polite and good at recommending foods to pair with your sakes. They have private rooms settings too.

I ordered the oysters (6 pieces), 2 scallops, beef and one garlic fried rice. Total bill is 100+ nut there is a 10% discount on grab or Kris+. So 90+ for 2 pax. Reasonable. Their seafood is good and fresh. But I deducted a star for overcooked beef. The restaurant replaced the beef and it was perfect after.

2nd time to this restaurant. 1st time our family had oyster buffet and it was truly delicious. Fresh big succulent oysters and scallops to choose from, an unforgettable experience that surprised us as we thought we can only get that fresh in oversea countries like Australia but not in singapore. 2nd time we tried variety of Japanese food like yakitori, beef, yellow tail fish, noodles and Don and the food quality impressed us again. The restaurant is located at less crowded area in chinatown, but I assure that if you like quiet place with quality Japanese food, excellent service with some nice beer or wine to go, this is the place you can go. I will definitely visit the restaurant again

Read about this place on the web and thought I’d give it a try. Ended up going there twice in a week, one for my birthday. Food is flavorful and varied. Staff was cheerful and attentive. I especially like their beef and oysters. They also have an oyster buffet which I will be back to try. All in all, food is good but also great atmosphere for hanging out with friends.

Tucked along the famous Chinatown food street (since closed due to Covid), this izakaya provides a homey atmosphere and good service. Asahi draft beer was served cold and fresh. We enjoyed the yakitori, especially the beef stuffed with mozzarella and sweet potato. Relaxed place to unwind amidst the numerous busy/noisy Chinese establishments.

Amazing food. Oysters and scallops were out of this world. Service is also great considering that we were always asking for more. 11/10 food and experience

Yakitori - delicious, want to come back here to eat these again. Salmon bowl- salmon not that fresh. Unagi bowl - a bit too sweet and too much sauce. Avocado salad - very refreshing. The cold and hot green teas are free flow. Service is good, very attentive. Used Eatigo discount, really worth it.

Kakurega was recommended to me & it was my first time patronising this little nook - Z was very sweet from the moment my party & myself arrived. 2 hours is more than enough for the buffet. It is an intimate space with sufficient privacy between tables (perfect for social or business purposes). The “all you can eat” is very generously priced as well as a generously curated offering which includes jumbo oysters, scallops, dons etc. Service was impeccable & very attentive. Again, Z was very hospitable. It’s hard to find a team member like him in today’s society of food and beverage. Thank you for the lovely experience, will definitely be back again!

To all those who saw the viral videos / reviews please read on my experience and decide if you want to go dine at your own risk! I made an reservation at 7pm today 5th March ( Wed ) upon reaching me and my wife was quite confused as to why there were 0 customers in the whole restaurant for a company that has spent thousands on marketing campaign. Few things I noted. 1. Staff clearly saw us outside contemplating if to proceed with our reservations or go else where to eat , but during the time frame they all refused to come out to greet guests or passerby who viewed menu which eventually they pushed a girl out to greet us, after around 15 minutes at thier menu stand. 2. Buffet package not really versatile / friendly to cater to more customers base as my wife doesn't fancy oysters but does eat dons , asked if there was another pricing package for that but they said "nope, have to order ala carte" 3. Placed an order of x12 Oyster each round as that was thier max limit & 6 being the min. The first dozen was rejected by me as I found hair inside!!! Which they then replaced with a new dozen oysters which was just average at most , but following after 2nd and 3rd dozen onwards it smelled fishy! ate a total of 3 dozens as we already have to pay $75 ++ for the buffets and I only came solely for the oysters so I tried my best to eat. It was till I felt I was going to throw up due to the fishiness I took a 30 minutes break. 4. During the entire dining experience I ordered a pint of Asahi as well, it was flat and it seems they clearly poured in diluted foam - beer back into the pint as there was a clear bad foam smell in it so I stopped after drinking 3 mouths , I even kept asking my wife to smell it and try it as I may be wrong due to eating oyster. 5. Towards the end During the short break had a debate with my wife as she was not happy / agreeable as I wanted to pay & leave due to the disgust in both food / drinks + service, she told me to try and just finish whatever I already ordered. None of the servers bothered to come and check on why I have not touched my beer nor food for so long and ask if everything was OK and how was the food... and mind you ! We are the only table in the restaurant. You would expect the bare minimum customer service from thier staff instead of talking and laughing at the back of the restaurant, talk about productivity level going to waste.. (Hope the owner sees this). Lastly my utter shock when I asked for the bill I was ignored by 2 servers 1 guy + 1 girl without a word of acknowledgement, the guy went to the back afterwards , I asked the girl for the bill again after I saw her come out back from behind , she then flatly told me they require customers to fish every single food even 1 pcs to be able to get the bill! I just could not take the ridiculousness anymore and told her to just bill me the charge or whatever they want , costed $40 for 6 PCs Oyster. All in all this was a super horrible experience for me in terms of Food / Drinks + Service! And will not recommend ANYONE this place. Side Note - my wife tried thier ala carte mentaiko pasta. But even that was not good as per her comment. Attached below are the oysters with the hair / beer + receipt as proof of visit. Do patronise them at your own risk and health.
