I came all the way from Pasir Ris to this place after a friend’s recommendation and the mostly positive Google reviews. I must say I’m impressed.
George attended to me. He was courteous and helpful. Of course, the most important part is he did a good job with cutting my hair! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

I’ve been a loyal customer of Kojimaya for years, and I have to say, Lily is the best hairstylist I’ve ever had. She is skillful, patient, and meticulous in her work. What truly sets her apart is her dedication, she even stayed until 9 PM just to perfect my haircut. Appreciate her effort.

I have tried several other express cut services, I finally found Kojimaya hair stylists to be friendly, patient and skillful. I been here 3 times with my sister - we are very happy with Lena and other stylists.
There are times the queue is long and it is hard to predict when the salon is less busy. What many don't realize is that for Express Cut ($12) service, you just have to take a number and wait for your turn, even though you are a regular customer. You cannot fault the stylists for the long wait, they cut hair non-stop to clear the queue. If customer don't want to wait, then he/she patronizes a regular salon that can book appointment!

First and last time of getting a haircut here
The moment the female barber started shaving my hair, I can already feel that she is very inexperienced in cutting.
She can even do a proper fade with everything shaved unevenly.
Lots of holes here and there.
And she completely shaved off the back of my hair until it’s bald with no hopes of salvaging to make it look better.
The proportions of my hair looks very weird and very uneven.
Getting a haircut is supposed to make us feel good and confident.
But with this lady’s skill I am forced to wear a hat because of this poor & ugly haircut.
She still said that, the back side still has hair & it looks very good.
Aunty I think there is something wrong with your taste is fashion.

I have heard a lot about this barbershop and though I give it a go since the were like three people inside. The moment I stepped in, I took a seat. Bad mistake. The only male barber stared at me (scowled) and gestured with his comb and pointed for me to pay thru the machine first.
Ok that’s kinda rude.
So I went there. Luckily I had a 5 and 10. (Apparently that’s what the machines accepts.
I tried putting the ten in many times but it kept rejecting the note. I turned and saw the male barber gave me a very unhappy face. I was about to like walk out till a brown haired auntie told me ‘let me change it for you’.
At that point I was like ok whatever. But I was still nice. And very polite.
So after that she told me to take a seat and I told her how to cut it. I said cut the sides short and just trim a bit of the top cos I wanted to keep my hair longer.
The result was a very short hair cut.
At this point I just wanted to leave, write a review and never come back.
So for those who wants to come here,
Stick to kcuts.
And to the Chinese barber, mind your manners and learn to be polite.
