After running our errands on Sunday, we dropped by here for our late lunch/early dinner. It was almost 4pm and the outlet was quite empty. We were instantly ushered in by a friendly staff who tried to explain the various set meals packages to us. The restaurant is nice with a lovely purple colour themed and nice wallpapers. Music was played but it was Western songs and I thought if it's Mandarin or Chinese songs will be more aligned with it's overall positioning and image. At the recommendation of the staff, we ordered two sets of premium hotpot that included beef and black pork slices and seafood and both come with veggies. The portions were appropriate and food were nice. And we got the pork ribs and tom yam soup bases. Both were good overall, and the latter was very quite appetising though I would prefer it to be more sourish and spicy. Diners can also help themselves with the various dipping sauces (over 10 types), freeflow of drinks and ice cream. There were iced tea and lime juices, waterchest nut drinks, icy and refreshing but a little too sweet. So added in lots of ice and then it's ok. But with so many kinds of chilli paste and sauces, none of them was spicy or hot enough for me, although they were sambal chilli and special made chilli. Perfect if they can be spicier. Staff were generally friendly and helpful, clearing used plates timely and refilling the soupbases. And it's good value for money, considering the quantity and quality of food, and we paid about $140++ for 6 of us. And there were gifts and toys which we could choose from! A good meal with toys! So cool!
