Amazingly juicy and fresh stingray with shiok sambal

Attracted by the old school set up of the stall. The two aunties were friendly. Unfortunately, the BBQ stringray was a little tough/dry while the sambal tasted one dimensional (sweet and no spiciness). Kailan was fresh and generous in portion for only $3.

Very hardworking and friendly auntie! Stingray and squid are very fresh too 👍🏻👍🏻 prices are also very reasonable. Highly recommended!

Hill Street Fried Kway Teow has been around for decades. I think FKT is a delicacy in SG, everyone of us has our own favourite. I think I found my favourite. The texture of the noodles is just right, not too soft not too hard. One mouthful of it, the flavours just burst in your mouth. I can tell the elderly boss spent a lot of effort making the stock. Cockles is quite small, perhaps because we ate it during CNY period. Everything during CNY, increases price, esp seafood. $5 plate includes one prawn. Price is very affordable. Please support this FKT as the owners are already very old. We don't know when will it be their last day of operation.

Super classic old school char kuay teow that has been around for ages. Smooth silky noodles full of wok hei and well coated in pork lard. Nice texture and balance of flavors. Can taste the lup cheong flavor all throughout the noodles. Do note that hours are indeed indeterminate. Confirmed with the lady stallholder that they do not keep regular hours. The couple that runs the stall is pretty elderly and probably well into retirement. Better enjoy while they are still in operation.

This has been my favourite CKT for years. I last came on a Saturday afternoon at about 3pm. There was a short queue ahead of me, but as they fry upon each order, I took about 15-20min to get the ckt. Ordered the $5 portion. The $5 order usually comes with prawn, but you can tell them to exclude the prawns (as I usually do - I think I get more hum in return). For fans of hum like me, do note that they do not allow adding of hum alone - when I’m craving more I order a $6 portion instead (even though the signboard says $4 or $5, they accept $6 orders too). My absolute favourite ckt stall, it’s a pity the owners are old now and they don’t have a successor, so grab a plate while you still can!

First time trying Fried Kway Teow, cant really judge if it that good. But taste fine for me nice char flavor.

$5 portion here, with one prawn and 30mins queue for this plate during lunch time. It's a decent, wet version of CKT but not quite worth the time it takes to queue during lunch. I admire uncle's dedication to frying each plate individually though. The cockles are plump while the solo prawn was passable.

The old school Char Kuey Teow need to queue for half an hours. Worth the wait if are a Char Kuey Teow.
