We had a good dining experience here. It wasn’t full on a Tuesday night. The Korean food here is good! We ordered the flower pork set for 2 pax and it was a lot for the 4 of us. We also tried the kimchi pancake and beef. Great service from the staff as well. The staff helped us cook the meat and he did it in an organised way. He ensured that our side dishes were topped up. We didn’t get his name but he’s Filipino.
The staff bbq-ed the beef cubes to a juicy and tasty texture and worth the price.
They were very friendly and accomodative too.
The lunch sets are a steal in my opinion.
I think this is the first time I’ve enjoyed Korean food so much. Every single dish was good, banchan was great, the cuts of meat were excellent, and you don’t have to lift a finger- they do all the cooking for you and are really attentive.
The table setup is very thoughtful and the ventilation system is amazing. They don’t have the suction directly above the table yet somehow there is no lingering smell on your hair or clothes. Honestly really impressed and I’ll be back again.
Had a great dining experience at 8 Korean BBQ at Clarke Quay Central! 🌟 The service was fantastic — attentive, friendly, and efficient. The dishes were excellent, with generous portions that left us more than satisfied. We especially appreciated how the place wasn’t too crowded, making the atmosphere relaxed and enjoyable.
Only thing to note: it can be a little tricky to find the restaurant at first, but it’s absolutely worth the effort. Highly recommend for anyone craving quality Korean BBQ in a comfortable setting!
$10.90++ lunch set available at this restaurant.
Jun 2025 - came back to 8 BBQ for their 8 pork belly and the quality is good and love the pork belly with all the unlimited sides. The flavorful pork belly wrapped with lettuce is indeed mouth watering. Can consider to come back again for the pork belly when there is craving for korean meats
Food is ok and I love that it is cooked for you. Kimchi is really nice and packs a punch. Meat is pretty average to be honest. Sides are good and refillable even though there's really no need too. Jap chae and kimchi stew is good better than most. Yuza Makgeolli is very refreshing though hardly feel any alcohol which may not be a bad thing. Overall food is pretty good and service excellent.
Located on the 2nd floor in The Central. Very convenient if your are either driving or taking public transport.
Food is nice and the range is quite extensive. The side dishes is very tasty as well.
The big plus for this place is the service. The staff are generally very helpful and attentive.
It is nicely decorated and generally clean.
Recommended!!
Great food and great service by the team. Huan was very pleasant, extremely friendly and efficient. Freddie the chef was like the team leader, making everything run smoothly. Very impressive with this kinda hidden gem. Will definitely return for another bowl.
Tried the Marutama ramen, the chicken broth is decent and flavourful although in the spectrum of ramen shops it’s on the lighter side so you can drink all the soup without feeling thirsty . If you compare it’s Quite different from the ramen shops in Japan as an example where the soup more salty but very flavourful, similarly for the noodles, it uses noodles that are on the thinner side also. Nothing to complain about
Overall enjoyed my lunch
Marutama Ramen serves up a distinctive chicken-based ramen that offers a lighter alternative to Singapore's usual pork-dominated ramen scene. Their signature broth strikes a delicate balance - rich in umami yet clean on the palate, with a subtle sweetness that lingers pleasantly. The springy, house-made noodles complement the broth perfectly, maintaining excellent texture throughout the meal. While the chashu is beautifully tender, some diners might wish for more generous portions given the S$15-S$20 price range. The minimalist eatery focuses squarely on the food, with efficient service and tightly packed counter seating typical of authentic ramen shops. During peak lunch and dinner hours, be prepared to queue. While the prices position it as a premium casual option, the quality of the broth makes it worthwhile for ramen purists seeking something different from heavy tonkotsu styles. A solid choice when you want flavorful ramen that won't leave you feeling weighed down.
