Came here for the xiao long bao!! XLB came hot and soupy (standard is consistent with other outlets). Also ordered dan dan noodles and shrimp fried rice, they are above average.
P.S. There is no queue on weekday dinner timing.
It’s probably been about a decade since we last dined at Din Tai Fung, so since we were already at Chinatown Point, we thought it’d be a good chance to reminisce about the food we used to enjoy from this restaurant chain.
We ordered some Xiao Long Bao, Fried Rice with Pork Chop, a Dry Shrimp Wanton dish, and a few side dishes.
The food was great, just like before, and the service was good. Although, I do wish the fried rice had a bit more wok hey.
Overall, definitely not disappointed.
The Xiao Long Bao are incredibly delicious.
The short wait to get a table was well worth it as we got to watch the chefs hand prepare each dumpling.
The service was fantastic. Very polite, professional and attentive.
Highly recommend this experience!
Excellent food and genuinely warm, friendly staff. I couldn’t take many photos because the aroma was simply irresistible! A special thanks to Ms. Lee Yee for her thoughtful assistance with the menu and her attentive, open approach. The custard bun was generously filled and absolutely mouth-watering. I truly enjoyed both the meal and the service an experience to remember.
I had an amazing time at Din Tai Fung's newest outlet at Chinatown Point with my family!
You can’t leave Din Tai Fung without having the Fried Rice with Pork Chop & Eggs — it's the perfect balance of savory and satisfying, pairs superbly well with their in-house chilli. My other must-order items are Steamed Pork Xiao Long Bao and Shrimp & Pork Wantons in Superior Chicken Broth.
We also tried some new menu items such as the Steamed Choco Lava Bun and the Mama Mochi Chocolate Xiao Long Bao, which both have gooey chocolate oozing out.
The quality here is standard compared to other DTFs around.
You can't go wrong with popular dishes such as XLB, egg and shrimp fried rice, etc. Those that are mentioned frequently by all the reviews here.
One highlight from my experience here is the service. It's prompt, for example if you're having hot tea, your cup will never be empty. The staff here are all (from the wait staff to servers to cashier) friendly as well.
The staff was exceptional. The entire team was courteous and friendly. I appreciate how you brightened my day. Keep up the excellent work. But the sesame dumplings was not good as I thought. It is highly recommended for everyone.
The food doesn't taste the same in other Din Tai Feng branches. The Oriental Salad and Spicy Hot n Sour Soup taste blend. The Dou Miao taste like under cook vegetables. I wonder this is the real Din Tai Feng. Feedback to the manager is useless as well. Deeply disappointed for today's experience in the Chinatown point branch.
Finally they opened an outlet again at Chinatown Point after vacating some years back.
It serves the typical menu which you find at most other DTF outlets. Must haves - ciao long bao, the garlic pork slices which wraps a piece of cucumber (白泥蒜肉), spicy wanton (红油抄手)the fried rice and my daughter’s favorite chicken soup. Tried the spicy sour soup which was pleasantly appetizing.
Satisfying meal, approximately SGD$35 per pax.
