We thought there would be all the options we saw on Google review photos, but when we arrived, they only have exactly 2 options: 1 kind of noodles and 1 rice & veggie portion. It's a Saturday lunch time with many customers but that few options. No laksa, no spaghetti, nothing we saw on the review. The staff were also not friendly. The noodles have no veggies at all. I like the restaurant's mission (nonprofit, supporting local people with special needs) though. It's SGD4.2 per bowl.

First Visit to the Temple Cafeteria – A Pleasant Surprise! This afternoon, I visited the vegetarian cafeteria at the temple for lunch—it was my first time there, and I was genuinely impressed! The place had a calm, welcoming vibe, and the food was absolutely delicious and very reasonably priced. I ordered their Lor Mee, and for just $4.20, the portion was generous and satisfying. Highly recommended if you’re nearby the temple—definitely worth a visit for a tasty, affordable vegetarian meal. I’ll be going back again soon—especially since the Western food stall wasn’t open today. Looking forward to trying more dishes next time!

Happy to see how they have evolved over time to better arrange the seating and queuing areas to ease the congestion. Staff are fast and efficient. Payment is faster than ever. Now it's just up to the visitors to improve their sense of civic mindedness; had an old lady stretch out her arm to block my path in order to overtake (congrats, you're now 30cm ahead of me), and had my butt touched during queuing. First world facilities, third world users.

Visited the place on a Sunday afternoon. Nested in the basement of Buddha Tooth Relic Temple, my initial assumption was that it should be a small quaint little eatery with a few visitors. Was I wrong totally! This place was huge and crowded with people! Plenty of food options available too! Queue was fast during ordering and payment, and the staff were helpful. Place was clean and cooling on a hot afternoon. $4.20 for a plate of rice with 3 side dishes. Typical food court pricing. Taste was acceptable. They offered free plain water too. A good and comfy place for a meal. Too bad it closes at 5pm.

Very good atmosphere to have vegetarian food.. Well decorated and cosy. First time here..after hearing many good reviews on the foods. Indeed well expected.. Food price very reasonable.. The only setback is one, the food counter staff, maybe is coming break time or so.. He also preparing some ingredients.. I placed my spaghetti set.. He just keep preparing his general ingredients.. But seems like not even have intention to prepare my order.. as it's lasted for a couple of minutes. Then I asked if he knows that I placed an order.. then he start saying waiting for the stove to heat up.. Second is making payment.. the payment machine stop working.. As I was told there's a breaktime from 2.30pm onwards.. which is also their breaktime somehow.. So do avoid this timing. But overall experience is good.. will definitely come again to try out other dishes..

Located in the basement of the Buddha Tooth temple, make your way down and be surprised by the bustling energy. Very efficient and professional operationally (they even have a queue for digital payment). Nice variety of vegetarian food, including pastries and breads to try. All reasonably priced.

Nice place to unwind for breakfast or lunch or afternoon snacks. All servings are prepared as vegetarian. Menu varies for each day in week. It is not too salty but average sweetness though not over powering. Able to request for less sweet gravy. Prices are affordable with free flow of water or tea. Hygiene is top and all utensils are sterilised. But there are unreasonable patrons of local and foreign mix who choose to make their rudeness felt by messing up the place or picking quarrels over service or queuing or ordering for the food. The staff are well prepared to take insults. Quick to clean up all the mess and they do deserve compliments for their patience and perseverence to bear out the unruly patrons. Payment is either cash or e payment. Morning and lunch time crowd are from nearby vicinity and afternoon are matured patronage. Ice cream and pastries are price well below expectations. Toilets are well maintained by the staff.

5/5 for the food quality, price and ambience. I highly respect this restaurant as they make sure they serve delicious vegetarian food for everyone. This, of course, takes into consideration the compassion for all sentient beings. They have daily specials as well as the regular vegetarian mixed dishes. They even have a bakery and a coffee shop. The ordering system is organised and you have to order before queuing for payment. They take both card and cash. The ambience is spacious, clean and well-maintained. They do take away coffee for $0.10 extra. I will continue to support this restaurant and I highly recommend it to everyone when in Chinatown.

A favourite choice on every 1st and 15th day of lunar months. Situated in the basement of the Buddha's tooth relic monastery, this restaurant is packed every lunch and tea time. The selection is varied with Chinese and western delights as well as dessert and a fresh from the oven bakery counter. Highly recommend the spring rolls as well as the popiah. The ice however for the chendol is a little too coarse and not fine enough. If you are in chinatown, you must visit this vegetarian food outlet, and of course pay respect to Buddha in the monastery which is another eye opener to the spirituality of Buddhism.

Vegetarian hawker center at the basement. Clean and air-conditioned. The vegetarian laksa, beehoon and fried spring rolls are delicious. Payment via cash or credit card. Expect a queue during peak hours but the queue moves fast. Self service water and tray return after finishing your meal.
