It’s a simple meal that’s value for money, but not worth the wait. You’d need to pair the noodles with lots of chili unless you like it bland. At least the ikan bilis is crispy

Xiu Ji Ikan Bilis Yong Tau Fu is a renowned hawker stall at #02-88 Chinatown Complex Food Centre, famous for winning Singapore's Best Foods 2017 award and serving authentic handmade yong tau fu since the 1960s. This third-generation family business, originally from Ipoh Malaysia, operates from 5:45am-3pm daily and is known for making their own fresh fish paste instead of using store-bought varieties. Their signature Four Piece Yong Tau Foo with Bee Hoon or Noodles (.50) features traditional preparation with cooked oil, soya sauce, and seasoning, garnished with house-fried ikan bilis (anchovies). Popular queue-worthy items include Fish Cake, Eggplant, and additional Ikan Bilis add-ons. Starting work at 2am to serve customers by 6am, this stall often sells out by 1pm due to its loyal following and reputation for affordable, authentic flavors that differentiate it from mainstream sweet sauce varieties.Based on 5 reviews

I must say the yong tau foo is good. The soup is tasty as well. But the bee boon is just normal. Even when i added the chilli it’s still not so nice. The chilli they use is like ckn rice chilli.. hmm.. overall the food is ok.

What sets this yong tau foo stall apart is their special touch of fried ikan bilis in their noodles and soup. The seemingly plain mee hoon transforms into a delicious treat when paired with the savory soup. Mixing in the crispy ikan bilis adds a delightful crunch to every bite. Their fish balls are renowned for their freshness, flavor, and top-notch quality, handcrafted daily at the stall. For the full experience, be sure to arrive early to savor their fried brinjal and BitterGourd before they sell out, ideally before noon. Don't miss out on this unique culinary adventure at tyy!

Very very good. Traditional YTF. Freshly made with simple ingredients and fine very well. The individual pieces are perfectly cooked and prepared. Tender and savory fish mix. Noodles are topped with crispy ikan billis. There is usually a line but it moves quick. Yum.

Xiu Ji Ikan Bilis Yong Tau Foo is a great pick for a comforting meal. The broth is light and flavourful, and the crispy ikan bilis adds a nice crunch. Portions might be a bit light if you have a hearty appetite.
