Chinatown Complex on Smith Street already has its Q4 wash: 16 and 17 November. The next three closures that hit this walk are in December. They come from the same National Environment Agency table on data.gov.sg, "Dates of Hawker Centres Closure." They are cleaning days, not festivals. Eat somewhere else those dates.
The three dates
People's Park Food Centre, Blk 32 New Market Road, under People's Park Complex: Monday 7 and Tuesday 8 December 2026. Ground-floor cooked food. Outram Park or Chinatown MRT. About 87 stalls on the NEA listing. If you wanted the Thai supermarket upstairs, that mall is a different operator. Confirm the hawker floor is the one shut.
Amoy Street Food Centre (Telok Ayer Food Centre), National Development Building Annex B, Telok Ayer Street / 7 Maxwell Road: Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 December 2026. 134 cooked-food stalls. This is the CBD lunch hall, not a weekend tourist loop. Hong Kee beef noodles and Hoo Kee rice dumpling sit here. Those two days fall on a weekend, which is when visitors actually try Amoy. Do not send them. Siaw-Tao's members' show at SCCC Level 7 runs 9 to 13 December. Eat before you walk to Straits Boulevard, or use Maxwell on Saturday only if Maxwell is still open that day. Maxwell's own wash is the 14th.
Maxwell Food Centre, 1 Kadayanallur Street: Monday 14 December 2026, one day. About 103 stalls. Maxwell MRT (TE18) Exit 2. Tian Tian will not be frying that Monday. China Street Hum Jin Pang is already gone as of August 2026. Do not hunt for it on the 13th either.
What stays open
Chinatown Complex at 335 Smith Street is open in December on these dates. Its wash is 16 to 17 November, covered in the November note. Hong Lim Food Centre's Q4 wash was 5 to 7 October, already over. Kukoh 21 Food Centre on the west edge is listed for 30 November. Use Smith Street Blk 335 if Maxwell, Amoy, or People's Park is the one shut that day. Stall rest days still apply when a centre is "open."
