My to-go for new specs. Staff are always friendly and patient. They even provide series of eye health tests prior to prescription so that you know how your precious eyes are doing. Staff were meticulous at every stage of the tests to minimize any discomfort and makes sure you are comfortable with the whole experience.
Might not be the cheapest ones out there like the big names in retail but they do provide the best service and quality value for money.

The service is great. They are attentive and measure many aspects of the eye, not just the degree. My whole family has been making glasses with them for many years.
All the staff were attentive, extremely helpful and professional, and prepared my glasses for me in less than an hour after the checks were completed. They do amazingly extensive eye checks with loads of medical equipment. Never seen an optical shop that did retinal photograph and screening before. Great service! Prices also very reasonable
I visited this optic store for an eye check-up and to get a new pair of glasses. I must say, Dr. Koh and the staff were incredibly attentive and patient throughout the entire process. Came in today and wanted to make a new progressive spec. We were not attended as only 2 staff at the shop; one was attending customer n the other staff was busy packing. Came back again half an hour later and hang around at the spec counters, but again not attended or acknowledged by staff at the shop. And not even ask us to wait as they are busy. We were not impressed and disappointed with the service. Decided to walk away and look for another spec shop.
I really needed to get new glasses and the service from staff at Pearl's was fantastic. I actually made a trip down after contemplating if I should get my specs done elsewhere and I'm glad I did so. Didn't encounter any of the bad service some of the reviews mentioned. From start to finish the terms and conditions were stated clearly to me regarding price of eye check if I don't purchase glasses.
The boss didn't push me to buy expensive frame and only recommended me the Japanese frame when I requested. The boss was very patient in showing and explaining the frame which indeed was of truly excellent quality.
I was also served by Zoe who helped to check my eyes thoroughly with all the equipment and I had never experienced this elsewhere.
Some say the price is more on the steep side, but considering full eye health check, well made frames and complete UV and blue light lens - I thought it was reasonable. Previously made glasses at other "expensive" optical shops like P.... M.... that charge similar price but the frame don't feel as sturdy as the one I got from Pearl's. And no eye check!
Best part was I got the specs done in less than 20 minutes (maybe cause I was the only one there and they had stock). I was super impressed. The specs was adjusted by boss himself and when I wore, I could immediately feel comfortable (unlike some other places need to adjust) and left the shock with 10/10 vision. I love my specs! Will be coming back next time for future optical needs!
Came for a eye check, was served by MJ and her good attitude and service makes my whole eye check journey comfortable and assured. She gave me options on what I could possibly do, and explained the different process that i will be doing for the next step, and also all my eye related questions. Will definitely come back again
Want to say thanks to the young polite guy for helping me out today with my vision issues and new glasses that got from another store. He is patient and professional, gave me valuable advice and also helped out with precise and detailed measurements. Will stick to Pearl's Optical from now on
My mum and I have been visiting Pearl’s optical for at least 20 years. I stopped going several years ago due to bad service. Yes, they have special equipment to check your eyes but on my mum’s recent visit, 3 pairs of spectacles cost $1,800. She went back to inform the boss that the spectacles were blurry and uncomfortable, he didn’t even try to take a look, before saying “it’s like that one”. Never mind that, the spectacles broke in less than a year. For $600 a pair it’s really bad quality. Will never be going back again for sure. Would rate zero if I can.
