Came for the skewer in hot pot experience. Overall, the taste is decent and the broth is not bad. However, I gave it 3 stars because 1) the hot pot container is very shallow, making it difficult to put the skewers in and cook them properly, and 2) the baskets provided for taking the skewers are quite dirty.
First it is solely based on my experience. $19 for 50pcs sounds very cheap which I guess is cheapest but depends on how you view it. If you see how less a stick is. Local beer like asahi, Heineken, and etc is $19 for 5 small bottles. Soup is charges separately so as the sauce. Pricing and atmosphere is okay, but I'm not a fan of the stick on hot pot, so it really depends on individual. However, thumbs up on the service which is a big plus point!
This place is quite crowded during dinner time. It is conveniently located next to the Maxwell station and opposite the Buddha Tooth Relic Temple. We ordered the duo pot, for pork bone and tomato soup. They have a wide variety of ingredients in sticks and plates. Dipping sauces are available with extra charges. Overall, food was decent and service was good.
Always like this place. Eat here for a long time. The peking duck is good and good value. Skewers seem a bit smaller than before, but totally understandable, considering the inflation and the skewer price is unchanged throughout years. Will keep supporting this place.
Thanks! Here’s a draft review based on your feedback. Let me know if you want to adjust the tone (harsher, more polite, funnier, etc.):

⭐☆☆☆☆ Not Worth the Money
Unfortunately, this restaurant was a big letdown. The ingredients didn’t taste fresh at all, and even the fried items—which are usually hard to mess up—were soggy and lacked any crispiness. Overall, it left a very bad first impression, and I won’t be coming back. Definitely not worth the price.
While the selection of chuan chuan may not be as extensive as some other places, the overall vibe makes up for it. The friendly boss and staff will make you feel right at home. Great spot to hangout with friends. I would recommend trying their la zi ji or fried rice. Both were surprisingly good.
I would rate their service ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. Their service is truely exceptional. For the food, we particularly like the stir fried chicken with dried chilli (see the photo). The chicken is very crispy and nice.
We went for the set lunch during weekday. The price was reasonable in this area and it includes main dish, rice, drink, and 1 small dish. The la zi ji is also nice and has a good portion of chicken.
Ordered d National Day set meal @$60++. Quite worth but drinks r not included. Punched iced lemon tea n berry drinks r very good $5.80++ 2nd cup $2.90+ (strangely service charge is charged but GST isn't).
辣子鸡 got standard. It's no-greasy n v v crispy. d oil seeps through after u bite. Flavourful! Skewer is priced @$0.50++/stick. Quite ex as some items r small pcs. Selection is not as wide.
Went off-peak so customer service by waiter is v good. he's patient as he offers recommendations n guides us thro d ordering process.
This restaurant also offers lunch set at ~$10++/set. Quite a selection. Saw many tourists come by to try s local/Chinese fare. Air-conditioning is v strong. Good n comfy to dine-in during lunch.
