Delicious meal tonight. Fish with green pepper sauce, lobster with noodles, mixed vegetables, cucumber with garlic sauce. We didn’t opt for the hot pot, but other diners were lapping that up, and picking their items to cook from fridges full of delicacies. Highly recommend

Didn’t notice this place, until recently. Friendly owner who was sincere in explaining the food to us. The mala is as authentic as it can get, since the shop is the main franchisee in the region. The tomato soup is EXCELLENT! Made from scratch with fresh ingredients, we enjoyed this the most. Come here and try it yourself!

The soup base is not much fragrance. The spices not well blended in the base. No taste at all. Most of the tastes from the marination of the skewers itself. Many selections of the skewers such as meats and processed food. But food quality is not there. Some in house promotion going on for the anniversary. But not worth the price.

Background Nestled in Chinatown, Old Chengdu Sichuan Cuisine stands out with its bright signage, promising authentic fiery flavours. It is a late-night supper stop for those craving bold, numbing heat. Ambience The interior is simple but welcoming, with traditional Chinese decor. Oddly quiet during our visit, where we were seated alone on the top floor, which lacked buzz but ensured quick service. Service Service was good and efficient. Staff were prompt with orders and refills, though the empty dining area may have helped. No complaints. Food & Drink The highlights were century eggs(creamy, well-balanced), stir-fried veggies (crisp and garlicky), and Sichuan grilled fish (flavourful but could have packed more heat)—solid execution. However, spice levels may need adjusting for true chilli heads. Overall A reliable spot for Sichuan classics, especially post-midnight.

Old Chengdu is a gem for lovers of authentic Chinese cuisine. The food is flavorful and well-prepared, offering a satisfying balance of traditional spices and fresh ingredients. The ambiance complements the dining experience perfectly—warm, inviting, and thoughtfully decorated to reflect the cultural roots of Sichuan. Whether you're dining with friends or enjoying a quiet meal, Old Chengdu delivers both great taste and a pleasant atmosphere.

Good food, and service was quick, although our lettuce dish arrived very late. The Kung pao chicken was delicious! Ignore the "cash only" - you can pay by card, and order via a QR code they provide at your table.

A Sichuan Culinary Gem in Singapore – Authenticity at Its Best!"** Craving real Sichuan flavors? Look no further! This restaurant is a hidden treasure. The **Kung Pao Shrimp Ball** stole the show – plump prawns wok-tossed in a fiery-sweet glaze with crispy peanuts, delivering that iconic "mala" (numbing-spicy) punch. It’s even more authentic than some dishes I’ve tried in Chengdu! The balance of heat, sweetness, and aroma is masterful, proving the chef’s deep-rooted Sichuan heritage. Don’t miss the **Mapo Tofu** – silky tofu swimming in a bold chili-bean sauce, or the **Sichuan Boiled Fish** with tender slices bathed in tongue-tingling broth. Every bite speaks of tradition, from the hand-picked peppercorns to the house-fermented pickles. The owner, a seasoned Sichuan chef, ensures ingredients are flown in fresh, making each dish a labor of love. Cozy ambiance, friendly service, and reasonable prices. For expats and locals alike, this spot is a must-visit. Trust me, your taste buds will thank you!
